Why I Am Reading/Reservations

I would have never picked this book up to read if I passed it in a shop or a shelf on the library.

That’s the great thing about a book club is because it forces you to read the things you probably said you weren’t interested in. This was a meeting I missed so I didn’t really have a say. My fault but I was a little miffed about the choice.

I read the description of the book as soon as I found out what we were reading. The title sounded familiar so I was a little intrigued. Much to my dismay, it was another science fiction book. Yay!! I hope that sounded sarcastic.

I’m trying not to grimace too much but I don’t know how much more of that I can read this year. I haven’t been a huge fan of anything of that genre that I’ve read this year. However, I am still on my quest to find at least something that I like. I think The Hogfather is looking my science fiction pick of the year.

The premise sounded okay, but didn’t immediately pull me in.
