Why I Picked/Reservations
Since I’ve been reading more, I’ve tried to be in spaces that talk about books and writing and all things that come with the territory.
In the past, whenever I wanted that kind of information I could just talk to other people or go on Tumblr. Most of the books I’ve ever been interested in reading have come either roaming the library shelves for hours, picking books and reading their synopses and definitely hardcore judging their covers or just word of mouth.
These days it can be hard to find the time to roam the library, I make do but I miss when I was younger and I perceived I had more time than I do now. So I’m often on the book side of YouTube. I love it there. It’s nice to watch people engage with content you want to read and give opinions and critiques. I have my favorites and this book was on one my favorite YouTuber’s monthly recap. Cari Can Read you’ll always be famous here.
From her description and her review, it seemed like it would be up my alley. Anything about magic and faeries I’m typically all over. Though I was very wary about the pacing.
I’d never heard of this author or read any of their previous works. At the time I was reading this, I was also reading Blood Marked by Tracey Deonn.
